ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING BERKELEY MARCH 18, 2016 (click for info)

AUSD Parents, Students & Staff:

We were notified recently that a Berkeley student was walking to school when a green van pulled into a driveway in front of her. One of the two men in the vehicle allegedly got out and was walking behind her. The student did not feel safe and started running to her elementary school. Additional details are still being confirmed.

This recent report is comparable to reports received earlier in this school year. Please remind students that if they are approached by a stranger to let you, their teacher, or principal know immediately. Also, please take time to remind students, in an age appropriate manner, what to do if a stranger approaches them.
